Give a Christmas Smile
Christmas time is a wonderful opportunity for helping others and, of course, is more well known for the time where we share gifts. You might be wondering why Christmas time is the perfect opportunity for giving to others.
The project takes place in December of each year, and its purpose is to provide a shopping cart to a child under 12, containing the objects of his choice, toys, clothing, shoes, food or sweets. This project aims to promote solidarity, generosity, respect and love for children regardless of the environment in which they live. The formation from the earliest age of character as a relational-value side of the personality, is a premise of a high level moral education.
The project has had an impact so far for about 200 children from disadvantaged backgrounds, who have no parents, are poor, or orphans. The goal is to bring a smile to your face around Christmas, when everyone receives presents.
The approximate value of the project is 25.000 LEI per year. So far, I have brought a smile on the lips of 200 children from disadvantaged backgrounds, offering gifts for about 100,000 lei.
Helping Those In Need children involved in the project:
- 2016 – 37 children;
- 2017 – 25 children;
- 2018 – 38 children;
- 2019 – 55 children.
Christmas giving also provides the chance to help those who are less fortunate than ourselves and need more support. GIVE A CHRISTMAS GIFT TO A CHILD IN POVERTY if you want to spread smile on a children face. Your gift of 100 lei is all it takes for a child in poverty to receive a present this Christmas. For some children, this will be the first time they’ve ever had a special Christmas gift just for them.
